Grow a Giant Sunflower

On
Tuesday of the Easter holiday Knaresborough in Bloom held a successful
'Grow a Giant Sunflower' event at Knaresborough House, with dozens of
children lining up to plant a seed. Each child was given a plant pot,
compost, and a seed. These were then taken home to be tended and loved
over coming weeks. Volunteers from Knaresborough in Bloom will be out
to measure the results later in the summer. Hopefully they will all grow,
with some reaching the rooftops! Pictured are lots of local children carefully planting their seeds into the compost, which was generously donated by Lidl. |
