KNARESBOROUGH IN BLOOM DESIGN A FLOWERBED WINNER.

Jasmine at the flowerbed with Chair of Knaresborough in Bloom Christine Willoughby and Penny Carpenter, schools coordinator for Knaresborough in Bloom.
Jasmine Hobson from Meadowside School recently came to the
bowling green at Knaresborough Castle to see the flowerbed which she helped
to design.
The theme for the flowerbed which Jasmine designed was “The Diamond Jubilee”
and the flowerbed was planted out in June by gardeners from Harrogate Borough
Council.
Each year Knaresborough in Bloom organises a competition to create a design
for this prominent flowerbed at the Castle. This year’s competition for
planting in June 2013 will be launched in September. The theme for 2013 is “A
Knaresborough Scene”.
Chair of Knaresborough in Bloom, Christine Willoughby commented “We last
used this theme in 2005, so now there is a new generation of Knaresborough children
who can be inspired by our beautiful town and hopefully create a fantastic design.”
